A delegation from Imam Kadhum University College met representative of three Malaysian universities. to discuss the prospects of the mutual cooperation. The IKUC delegation was headed by the college dean – Dr. Ghani Al-Khagani and accompanied by Dr. Khansa Al-Bahadli – the Dean Asst. for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Zuwaid – Public Relations and Media Manager, and other members of the teaching staff.
The delegation listened to a number of offers presented by the representatives of the Malaysian universities, the most prominent of which are the Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS and UPM that are considered the best among the universities of Malaysia. UM, for example, adopts the British system of Nottingham University which is specialized with a number of fields: engineering, financial and banking sciences, political sciences and the international relations.
The delegation also discussed a number of suggestions that would benefit the college from the academic and administrative aspects, the most important of which is getting fellowships for the top students of our college and academic expedition for the instructors and employees to develop their academic and administrative skills.
The two parties agreed on a number of proposals and to keep up correspondence in regard to the publication of the scientific papers in reliable academic journals.
The representatives were pleased to discuss the proposals and expressed their willingness to eliminate the obstacles that encounter their implementation and to conduct a scientific and administrative cooperation between the parties to achieve the mutual goals.
In the end, the Malaysian representatives invited the college to visit the universities with which IKUC would like to sign a bilateral cooperation.
